The key part of the desiccant dehumidifier is the dehumidifying rotor. Desiccants (super silica-gel, molecular sieve, etc.) are bonded with the surface of air channels of the rotor.
In the working process, the rotor is divided into process zone and reactive zone with elastic seal material and runs at certain rotation speed. As wet air passes through the honeycomb air channels, the moisture in the air is adsorbed by the desiccant (heat and mass transferring simultaneously), and the air is dried. Since the rotor runs continuously, the relatively saturated part of the rotor goes into reactive zone and is regenerated by hot reactive air because of thermal swing.
